Central African Republic owes its typical geographical situation for it connects itself with all other important parts of continents’ flora and fauna. The property of this heritage site of Manovo-Gounda St Floris encompasses the entire watershed of three major rivers Manovo, Koumbala and Gounda. Sudano-Sahelian, Sudano-Guinean, National Park of Bamingui-Bangoran, and game reserves of Ouandija-Vakaga and Aouk-Aoukalé preserves the ancient identity of the migrants who arrived here in an unknown period of human history.
Like other heritage sites of Africa, this site also provides information on migrants’ ancient homelands who settled on the banks of the three rivers Manovo, Koumbala and Gounda. Name of these rivers marks three place-names; from the naming pattern of the region, it is quite evident that the ancient migrants form a composite group that helps to identify major part of the ‘inhabited world’ from where they came and made a ‘migration-unit’.
